I am a settler scholar currently located on Coast Salish (lək̓ʷəŋən) territory. I study how digital and living media ecologies shape and produce subjects through networked logics of control. My research focuses on the material cultures of hormones and is situated at the intersection of critical digital theory and feminist and queer science and technology studies.

My doctoral research at the University of Victoria responds to the treatment of hormones as “chemical messages” and “chemical traffic.” Building on the work of thinkers such as micha cárdenas, Seb Franklin, Alexander Galloway, and Paul Preciado, I demonstrate how network protocols render hormones and hormonal subjects distributable and informational.

I hold an MA in Experimental Digital Media (XDM) from the University of Waterloo and an Hons. BA in English Literature and Rhetoric, also from Waterloo.
