Sleep Mode is a physical computing project that, through the language of Barthes’ A Lover’s Discourse, earnestly explores smartphone relationships and emotional regulation without the suggestion of “addiction.” Sleep Mode asks users to put their smartphones in the locking case and listen to your phone’s beating heart.
